Eteon vs Zendesk
Zendesk Suite Professional is $115 per agent per month billed annually, before AI resolutions and add-ons. Eteon Starter is ₹2,999 a month — about $34 — for 20,000 messages, with no per-seat or per-resolution fee.
How to read this
Units differ between vendors — credits, conversations, tickets and resolutions are not messages. Every figure below is quoted in the unit its vendor uses, with a link to the page it came from.
Zendesk meters in per agent, plus per automated resolution. Zendesk bills per agent seat per month, then bills AI agents separately on "automated resolutions" — a request the AI closes without escalating to a human. Seats and resolutions stack.

The honest version
Zendesk is the incumbent enterprise helpdesk: ticketing, omnichannel routing, telephony, workforce management, a mature agent workspace. For a large support organisation it is a serious, capable platform, and nothing here is an argument that it is not.
The cost model is the thing to look at closely. You pay per agent seat, you pay again per automated resolution, and the add-ons that make the AI genuinely useful — Copilot at $50 per agent — are priced per seat on top.
Eteon is not a helpdesk suite and does not pretend to be one. It is an AI that answers and sells on your website for a flat per-message price. If you need seats, telephony and enterprise workflow tooling, buy Zendesk; if you need the AI on your site without a per-seat and per-resolution meter, that is the difference.

What does Zendesk do better?

Can I move from Zendesk to Eteon without rebuilding everything?
There is nothing to port. Eteon builds from your website URL rather than from a flow diagram or an intent list, so the setup is the same whether you are coming from Zendesk or from nothing at all. Most sites have a working bot in about a minute.
How is Eteon priced?
₹2,999 a month on Starter for 20,000 messages, up to ₹4,999 a month for 100,000. No per-seat fee and no per-resolution fee, so automating a larger share of your conversations does not increase the bill.
