1. Account Registration & Eligibility

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use Eteon.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (including passwords and Two-Factor Authentication tokens). You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your workspace account.
• Accurate Details: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

2. Acceptable Use & Conduct

You agree to use Eteon strictly for lawful business purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Use the AI chatbot or platform to distribute spam, malware, phishing links, or fraudulent content.
• Upload content or train bots on materials that contain hate speech, harassment, illegal advice, or infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or overload our platform infrastructure (including automated scraping or DDOS attacks).
• Bypass security controls, access control checks, or rate limits.

3. AI Performance & Disclaimer of Accuracy

• Probabilistic AI Outputs: Eteon utilizes Advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate real-time conversational responses based on data ingested from your website or uploaded documents.
• Customer Responsibility: You acknowledge that AI models can occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete responses. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of your bot's knowledge base.
• No Binding Commitments: Eteon is NOT liable for any business decisions, incorrect pricing promises, or verbal commitments made by an AI bot to your website visitors.

4. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership

• Your Data: You retain 100% ownership of all proprietary content, logos, uploaded training documents, and customer lead records generated within your workspace.
• Eteon Platform: We retain full ownership, title, and intellectual property rights to the Eteon software, code, widget design systems, brand, and underlying architecture.
• Feedback: Any suggestions, feedback, or feature requests you provide may be used by us without restriction or obligation.

5. Website Content, Design & Copying

• Ownership: The text, visual design, layout, animations, illustrations, video and source code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) of eteon.net and the Eteon widget are original works owned by Eteon and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and international copyright treaties.
• What a visit allows: Visiting the website gives you a limited, revocable permission to view it in a web browser. It gives you no licence to the site itself.
• What is not permitted: Without our prior written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, frame, clone or imitate the site's design, copy or code, in whole or in substantial part, create derivative works from them, or attempt to de-obfuscate, decompile or reverse-engineer the site's client code.
• Screenshots and recordings: Short screenshots or clips used for review, commentary or reporting are fine. Using them to recreate the site, or any part of its design, is not.
• Enforcement: Copies of this site can be identified as copies. Where we find one, we will request its removal from the host, the domain registrar and search engines (including through DMCA notices) and pursue the remedies available to us under law.

6. Service Availability & Uptime

• Uptime Target: We strive to maintain maximum service availability (99.9% uptime). However, the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
• Third-Party Outages: We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party vendor downtime (e.g. underlying LLM provider outages, cloud host maintenance, or global internet disruptions).

7. Subscriptions, Fees & Cancellations

• Billing: Access to paid workspace features is billed in advance on a recurring monthly subscription basis.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time directly through your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where explicitly required by law or specified in a formal enterprise agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Eteon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, lost leads, business interruption, or data loss).
• Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Eteon in the 12 months preceding the incident (or ₹1,000 / $100 max).

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered Customers of material changes via email or dashboard notification. Continued use of the Services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
